Jesus gives us
a
pattern for prayer
Jesus said,
After this manner
therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art
in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in
earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread.
And forgive us our
debts,
as we forgive our
debtors.
And lead us not into
temptation,
but deliver us from
the evil:
For Thine is the
kingdom, and the
power, and the glory,
forever.
Amen.
Matthew
6:9-13 KJV

The
Serenity Prayer
God grant me
the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

How do we pray to God?
Is there a right way to pray?
Some say:
•
talk to God the Father.
•
speak in Jesus' name.
•
take time to pray.
•
take time to listen.
•
speak with God --
not impress men!
•
be on our knees --
in our heart.
•
focus our eyes
--
on the invisible God.
What do you say?

PSALM
23
The Lord is my Shepherd
THAT'S RELATIONSHIP!
I shall not want
THAT'S SUPPLY!
He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures
THAT'S REST!
He leadeth me beside still waters
THAT'S REFRESHMENT!
He restoreth my soul
THAT'S HEALING!
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness
THAT'S GUIDANCE!
For His name sake
THAT'S PURPOSE!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death
THAT'S TESTING!
I will fear no evil
THAT'S PROTECTION!
For thou art with me
THAT'S FAITHFULNESS!
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me
THAT'S DISCIPLINE!
Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies
THAT'S HOPE!
Thou anointest my head with oil
THAT'S CONSECRATION!
My cup runneth over
THAT'S ABUNDANCE!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life
THAT'S BLESSING!
And I will dwell in the house of the
Lord
THAT'S SECURITY!
Forever
THAT'S ETERNITY!
